⚡ Dashboard auto-run on changes (old: Filter auto-apply)

We're introducing Dashboard auto-run on changes - a new dashboard setting that re-runs your dashboard automatically on every filter, control, or source visualization change, no Apply button required.

Previously, every change required a manual Apply click to take effect - easy to miss, especially for non-technical viewers who expect dashboards to respond immediately. Dashboard auto-run on changes removes that friction.

How it works​

  1. Go to Dashboard preferences > General
  2. Toggle on Auto-run on changes, then save
  3. Publish your changes (Development mode) or reload the page (Reporting mode)

Note: Auto-run on changes triggers a query on every filter, control, or source visualization change. For dashboards with many charts or heavy queries, keeping manual Apply can help avoid unnecessary query costs.
