🔗 Data Lineage

Data Lineage shows what a model, dataset, or dashboard is built from and what depends on it, in a panel below the code in the IDE. Because it is compiled from your own project code, it stays accurate, so you can change things with confidence and trace any number back to its source.

Why this matters

• See what a change will break: check what depends on an object before you rename a field or edit a metric, so nothing breaks silently.
• Find where a number comes from: follow a figure back through metric, dataset, model, and source table instead of tracing it by hand.
• Always accurate: the graph is compiled from your project code and reflects your current branch, with nothing to set up or refresh.
